Lake Rosseau

Lake Rosseau is situated in Ontario, Canada, approximately 200 kilometers north of Toronto. Its southern region falls within the Township of Muskoka Lakes, while the northern part extends into Seguin Township. This picturesque lake is renowned for its collection of cottages, with some dating back to the late 19th century.

At the northern tip of Lake Rosseau lies the village of Rosseau, home to one of the original Ontario summer resorts that played a significant role in bringing attention to the area. Notable landmarks such as Pratts Point and the historic Rosseau House were prominent features, although the hotel itself has long since been destroyed. Nonetheless, the breathtaking vista and scenic beauty of the area persist. Windermere House stands as a prominent resort situated on the shores of Lake Rosseau, contributing to the charm and allure of the region.
